Because we strive to provide a supreme level of care here at Hometown Dental, we utilize several advanced technologies at our state-of-the-art facility. Your diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical procedure may include several other digital innovations, such as digital x-rays, CAD/CAM technology, and 3D cone beam scans.
These new tools allow for minimally invasive techniques and more precise procedures. For instance, Dr. Brian Bomberger uses CBCT technology to produce a three-dimensional representation of your teeth, soft tissues, and underlying bone structure in a single scan. We then use this image to determine the ideal placement for dental implants. Thanks to this technology, we specialize in implant restorations that require fewer implant posts and maximize the support of your natural bone. This also results in a higher success rate for implant surgery. Intraoral cameras are often used in conjunction with CAD/CAM software, or computer-aided design and manufacturing. Many dentists use CAD/CAM software to design and fabricate aesthetically-pleasing restorations within a single appointment.
